Kerala SET 2020: The government of Kerala organizes a state level exam called the Kerala State Eligibility Test (Kerala SET 2020) in order to determine the eligibility of aspiring teachers in the state of Kerala. To get recruited as the higher secondary school teacher in Kerala, Kerala SET 2020 is mandatory for a candidate to be qualified. The exam will consist of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2 and candidates will be allowed to choose from a list of 35 subjects for the paper 2.

Eligibility Criteria
- A Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent is required.
- A B.Ed. degree in relevant discipline from any recognized university is also required with the above qualification.
For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology
- An MSc.Ed Degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
- For Botany and Zoology candidates should have MSc.Ed Degree in Life Science with minimum 50% marks.
For Gandhian Studies, French, Geology, German, Journalism, Anthropology, Commerce, Psychology, Philosophy, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Home Science, Latin, Music, Statistics and Syriac
- A B.Ed degree is required.
For SET in English
- A Second class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed degree is required.
- Candidates having DLED/LTTC in Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi, not B.Ed, are eligible to apply for the SET exam.
- Open universities candidates or candidates passed through a correspondence course and not recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala are not permitted to appear in the SET exam.
- Candidates in the final year courses for B.Ed degree can apply for the exam.
- Candidates having B.Ed but undergoing through final year courses of their Post Graduate Programme can also apply.
- The relaxation of 5% in minimum marks will be given to candidates of SC/ST category.
For Latin subject
- Passed their degree examination in any discipline from a recognized university with Latin as their Second Language with minimum 50% marks.
- Such candidates have obtained II Class Master’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in any discipline.
- There are no pre-defined age criteria for appearing in Kerala SET exam.

- Candidates can remit the fee at selected office or branch of a service provider.
- Fee once paid won’t be refunded under any circumstances.
Exam Pattern
- Paper I is to be common for all aspirants.
- Paper I comprises of two parts- Part (A) General Knowledge and Part (B) Aptitude in Teaching.
- Questions will be asked in the Paper II from the subject of specialization of the candidate at the Post Graduate (PG) Level.
- Only objective type of questions will be asked in both the papers.
- 1 Mark will be awarded for every correct answer (1.5 marks for Maths and statistics).
- There will no negative marking.

Admit Card
- Candidates can get the admit card of Kerala SET 2020 on the website of LBS Kerala i.e. www.Ibskerala.com or www.lbscentre.org.
- The admit card will be issued for all the successfully registered candidates.
- Enter the registration number in order to download the admit card.
- Without a hard copy of the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall.
Result
- The result will be hosted on the official website of LBS center.
- The result can be downloaded with the help of roll no.
