JEE Main 2021: JEE Main is the popular engineering entrance exam in India conducted by NTA for admission to B.E./B.Tech & B.Arch courses. On the basis of JEE Main, candidates are admitted to National Institute of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other Centrally Funded Techincal Institutes (CFTIs). JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced which offers admission to IITs & ISM. Eligibility Criteria
- There is no age limit for the candidates.
- Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 or 2020.
- Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible for JEE Main 2021.
- B.E/B.TECH.: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
- B.ARCH./B.PLANNING: Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics.
- Appearing candidates in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2021 are eligible to appear in both January 2021 and April 2021 Examination.
- There is no age limit prescribed to apply for JEE Main 2020.
- There will be no attempt limits.

- Candidates must have secured 75% (For ST/SC – 65%) marks or must be under the top 20 percentile in 12th level exams.

- Payment of fees can be done either through credit card/debit card or e-challan.
- Candidates opting e-challan are required to make the payment in Syndicate/ICICI/HDFC/Canara Bank in cash.
JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern
- The test will be organized in CBT mode and for B.Arch, the drawing test will be only held in offline mode.
- The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, Gujarati & some other state languages.
- The Paper of B.E/ B.Tech will consist of a total of 75 questions of a total of 300 marks.
- B. Arch will have a total of 77 questions and B.Plan will have a total of 100 questions.
- Both these papers will be of a total of 400 marks.
- 4 marks will be given for every correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- The time duration to complete the paper will be of 3 hours (1 hour more for candidates with 40% disability (PwD candidates).
